GQEP Virtual Academy Launched

The GQEP launched its GQEP Virtual Academy (GVA) on January 24, 2009 during the First Family Day of Informatics International College Diliman Campus. The GVA shall serve as the e-learning facility of the College to enhance the quality of learning through a state-of-the-art online methodology.
E-learning is now globally considered as the learning mode of the future as it allows a flexible 24/7 learning management system for all generations. It is in this light that GQEP has developed the GVA, an exciting, collaborative and easy e-learning platform for schools, homes and the work place.
GVA provides the necessary elements of pedagogy for quality learning to take place and for further knowledge to be discovered or constructed by the learner with the use of computers and the internet.
In schools, the GVA will help teachers organize topics or content to be taught in a collaborative and interactive manner tailored to the needs of our children and youth today. Such content will remain accessible to students wherever they are within the enrolled term to ensure that statutory and school curricular requirements are satisfactorily met at the minimum.
GVA provides “My Classroom” for teachers and learners to simulate the traditional classroom situation; “My Exams” that provides online examinations and immediate results; “My Corkboard” similar to the bulletin board for posting and threading ideas and other content; “My Notebook” for the student’s notes and ticklers; “My Library” for more leaning materials provided by your school and/or GQEP; “My Locker” where students can safely store their files, assignments and projects within the enrolled term; and a GWiki for creation, innovation and development to take place.
For all these exciting supplemental and complementing educational services that the GVA provides, GQEP offers a very affordable package. This package will also include training of teachers on the use of the GVA and participation of selected faculty and personnel in GQEP seminars and conferences.
